The 6-HIS n/a (Catalog #MBS560106) is an Antibody produced from Chicken and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase.Prior to conjugation, the antibodies were analyzed by ELISA and Western Blot analyses. The molar F/P ratio is 5.75. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the 6-HIS n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Chickens were immunized with 6xHIS peptide conjugated to a carrier protein. Eggs were collected and an IgY fraction was prepared. The resulting fraction was passed over an antigen containing immunoabsorbant from which the anti-HIS tag antibodies were immunoaffinity purified. Purification was followed by conjugation with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
Buffer: Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.2 with 0.2% BSA. Preservative: 0.1% sodium azide
Procedure: Chickens were immunized with HHHHHH conjugated with KLH. After multiple immunizations in Freunds adjuvant eggs were collected and the immunoglobulin fraction prepared. Antibodies were immunoaffinity purified using the peptide immobilized on a solid support. The antibodies were conjugated with Fluorescein Isothiocyanate (FITC). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing 6-HIS are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as 6-HIS may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
