The ACOT8 acot8 (Catalog #MBS9411200) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ACOT8 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s ACOT8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Immunohistochemistry: 1:15-1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ACOT8 acot8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ACOT8 acot8 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #34577075) (NCBI Accession #NP_005460.2) (Uniprot Accession #O14734). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the ACOT8 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Human cervical cancer tissue using at dilution 1/20.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Human thyroid cancer tissue using at dilution 1/20.)
The protein encoded by this gene is a peroxisomal thioesterase that appears to be involved more in the oxidation of fatty acids rather than in their formation. The encoded protein can bind to the human immunodeficiency virus-1 protein Nef, and mediate Nef-induced down-regulation of CD4 in T-cells. Acyl-CoA thioesterases are a group of enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of acyl-CoAs to the free fatty acid and coenzyme A (CoASH), providing the potential to regulate intracellular levels of acyl-CoAs, free fatty acids and CoASH. May mediate Nef-induced down-regulation of CD4. Major thioesterase in peroxisomes.
Immunogen Type: Recombinant Protein
Immunogen Description: Full length fusion protein. Target Name: ACOT8. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ACOT8 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ACOT8 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Lymph, Lymph Node tissues are correlated with this protein. Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Death, Fatty Liver, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to ACOT8 Antibody. ACOT8 also interacts with the following gene(s): BAAT.
