The ACTN2 actn2 (Catalog #MBS2529560) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ACTN2 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s ACTN2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).WB: 1:1000-1:5000
IHC: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ACTN2 actn2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ACTN2 actn2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #507588250) (NCBI Accession #NP_001265273.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Alpha actinins belong to the spectrin gene superfamily which represents a diverse group of cytoskeletal proteins, including the alpha and beta spectrins and dystrophins. Alpha actinin is an actin-binding protein with multiple roles in different cell types. In nonmuscle cells, the cytoskeletal isoform is found along microfilament bundles and adherens-type junctions, where it is involved in binding actin to the membrane. In contrast, skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle isoforms are localized to the Z-disc and analogous dense bodies, where they help anchor the myofibrillar actin filaments.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide of human ACTN2
Calculated Molecular Weight: 104kDa. Buffer: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ACTN2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ACTN2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Connective Tissue, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Muscle, Nerve, Testis, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. Brain Diseases, Brain Injuries, Cardiomyopathy, Dilated, 1AA, Disease Models, Animal, Hypertrophy, Kidney Diseases, Pancreatic Neoplasms, Weight Gain are some of the diseases may be linked to ACTN2 Polyclonal Antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
