The ADAM17 adam17 (Catalog #MBS645186) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ADAM17, CT (Disintegrin and Metalloproteinase Domain-containing Protein 17, TNF-alpha-converting Enzyme, TNF-alpha cOnvertase, Snake Venom-like Protease, CD156b Antigen, CSVP, TACE) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s ADAM17 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADAM17 adam17 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ADAM17 adam17 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #148922164) (NCBI Accession #AAI46659.1) (Uniprot Accession #P78536). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the ADAM17, CT (Disintegrin and Metalloproteinase Domain-containing Protein 17, TNF-alpha-converting Enzyme, TNF-alpha cOnvertase, Snake Venom-like Protease, CD156b Antigen, CSVP, TACE) with the following immunoassay(s):

ADAM17 is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biologic processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. ADAM17 functions as a tumor necrosis factor-alpha converting enzyme; binds mitotic arrest deficient 2 protein; and also plays a prominent role in the activation of the Notch signaling pathway.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide selected from the C-terminal region of human ADAM17 (KLH). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ADAM17 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ADAM17 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Atherosclerosis, Breast Neoplasms, Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to ADAM17, CT (Disintegrin and Metalloproteinase Domain-containing Protein 17, TNF-alpha-converting Enzyme, TNF-alpha cOnvertase, Snake Venom-like Protease, CD156b Antigen, CSVP, TACE).
