The AHSA2 ahsa2 (Catalog #MBS806723) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Aha2 Antibody: ATTO 390 reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Aha2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AHSA2 ahsa2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The AHSA2 ahsa2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #22748839) (NCBI Accession #NP_689605.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q719I0). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Background Info: Cross reacts with Aha1
Scientific Background: The Arabidopsis protein RIN4 is a well known regulator of plant immunity. The plasma membrane H+-ATPases Aha1 and Aha2 are one class of RIN4-associated proteins (1-5). Aha1 and Aha2 play a crucial role in resisting pathogen invasion- plants use RIN4 to regulate H+-ATPase activity during immune responses, thereby controlling stomatal apertures during pathogen attack (1). Wild type AHA2 has been found to be localized to the plasma membrane, and has also been found in the ER (4).
Conjugate: ATTO 390. Storage Buffer: PBS pH7.4, 50% glycerol, 0.09% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing AHSA2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as AHSA2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
