The AHSG ahsg (Catalog #MBS175510) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-AHSG antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s AHSG can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AHSG ahsg for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The AHSG ahsg product has the following accession number(s) (GI #112910) (NCBI Accession #P02765.1) (Uniprot Accession #P02765). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-AHSG antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Anti-Fetuin An antibody, MBS175510, Western blotting
Lane 1: Recombinant Human Fetuin A Protein 10ng
Lane 2: Recombinant Human Fetuin A Protein 5ng
Lane 3: Recombinant Human Fetuin A Protein 2.5ng )
Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Alpha-2-HS-glycoprotein(AHSG) detection. Tested with WB in Human.
Background: Alpha-2-HS-glycoprotein(AHSG) also known as fetuin-An is a protein that in humans is encoded by the AHSG gene. Fetuin-A belongs to the fetuin class of plasma binding proteins and is more abundant in fetal than adult blood. Its gene is mapped to 3q27. The protein is commonly present in the cortical plate of the immature cerebral cortex and bone marrow hemopoietic matrix. It is involved in several functions, such as endocytosis, brain development and the formation of bone tissue.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the N-terminus of human AHSG (46-62aa DYINQNLPWGYKHTLNQ). Contents: Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.
Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing AHSG are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as AHSG may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Spleen, Testis, Thymus tissues are correlated with this protein. Brain Diseases, Calcinosis, Fatty Liver, Heart Diseases, Heart Failure, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Myocardial Infarction are some of the diseases may be linked to Anti-AHSG antibody.
