The Akt2 akt2 (Catalog #MBS415443) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Akt2 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Akt2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB).Peptide ELISA titer: 1:1,000-1:10,000
Western blot analysis: 1:200-1000
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Akt2 akt2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Akt2 akt2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #339895851) (NCBI Accession #NP_001617.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Western Blot (WB)
This gene is a putative oncogene encoding a protein belonging to a subfamily of serine/threonine kinases containing SH2-like (Src homology 2-like) domains. The gene was shown to be amplified and overexpressed in 2 of 8 ovarian carcinoma cell lines and 2 of 15 primary ovarian tumors. Overexpression contributes to the malignant phenotype of a subset of human ductal pancreatic cancers. The encoded protein is a general protein kinase capable of phophorylating several known proteins. Storage Buffer: PBS, pH 7.4 with 0.02% Sodium Azide. Immunogen: Synthetic peptide conjugated to KLH. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Akt2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Akt2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Adenocarcinoma, Brain Diseases, Breast Neoplasms, Cardiovascular Diseases, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental, Nervous System Diseases, Ovarian Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to Anti-Akt2 Antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Akt2 also interacts with the following gene(s): AKT1S1, CHUK, FOXO1, GSK3B, INS, MTOR, TCL1A, TSC2. Adipose Tissue, Blood, Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Heart, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
