The ANDVsMgp1 gpc (Catalog #MBS153463) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Andes Virus Glycoprotein Antibody reacts with Virus and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Andes Virus can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA).Andes virus glycoprotein antibody can detect 10ng Andes virus glycoprotein peptide in ELISA at 1 mug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ANDVsMgp1 gpc for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ANDVsMgp1 gpc product has the following accession number(s) (GI #30313865) (NCBI Accession #AAO86638) (Uniprot Accession #Q80DP7). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Andes virus (ANDV) is a rodent-borne hantavirus of the family Bunyaviridae, an enveloped, negative-sense RNA viruses with a tripartite genome that can cause hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) (1). It was isolated from an infected Oligoryzomys longicaudatus rodent in Chile, and is highly similar to the Sin Nombre virus (SNV).
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Immunogen: Andes virus glycoprotein antibody was raised against a 19 amino acid peptide near the amino terminus of the Andes virus glycoprotein.
Buffer: Andes virus glycoprotein antibody is supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ANDVsMgp1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ANDVsMgp1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
