The APEH apeh (Catalog #MBS629693) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The APEH, NT (Acylamino-acid-releasing Enzyme, AARE, Acyl-peptide Hydrolase, APH, Acylaminoacyl-peptidase, Oxidized Protein Hydrolase, OPH, DNF15S2, D3S48E, D3F15S2) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s APEH can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the APEH apeh for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The APEH apeh product has the following accession number(s) (GI #23510451) (NCBI Accession #NP_001631.3) (Uniprot Accession #P13798). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the APEH, NT (Acylamino-acid-releasing Enzyme, AARE, Acyl-peptide Hydrolase, APH, Acylaminoacyl-peptidase, Oxidized Protein Hydrolase, OPH, DNF15S2, D3S48E, D3F15S2) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of APEH antibody (N-term) in A2058 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). APEH (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
APEH is the enzyme acylpeptide hydrolase, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of the terminal acetylated amino acid preferentially from small acetylated peptides. The acetyl amino acid formed by this hydrolase is further processed to acetate and a free amino acid by an aminoacylase. APEH gene is located within the same region of chromosome 3 (3p21) as the aminoacylase gene, and deletions at this locus are also associated with a decrease in aminoacylase activity. The acylpeptide hydrolase is a homotetrameric protein of 300kD with each subunit consisting of 732 amino acid residues. The protein can play an important role in destroying oxidatively damaged proteins in living cells.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide selected from the N-terminal region of human APEH (KLH). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing APEH are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as APEH may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
