The Apo lpa (Catalog #MBS534186) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Apo (a) antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Apo can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, User optimized. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Apo lpa for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The Apo lpa product has the following accession number(s) (GI #116292750) (NCBI Accession #NP_005568.2) (Uniprot Accession #Q1HP67). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Goat polyclonal Apo (a) antibody.

Apo lpa

Biological Significance: Apolipoproteins are proteins that bind to lipids (oil-soluble substances such as fat and cholesterol) to form lipoproteins, which transport the lipids through the lymphatic and circulatory systems. The lipid components of lipoproteins are not soluble in water; however, because of their detergent-like (amphipathic) properties, apolipoproteins and other amphipathic molecules (such as phospholipids) can surround the lipids, creating the lipoprotein particle that is itself water-soluble, and can thus be carried through water-based circulation (i.e., blood, lymph). Biohazard Information: This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling.
Immunogen: Apo (a) antibody was raised in goat using human apolipoprotein (a) as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Apo are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Apo may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Adrenal Gland, Bone Marrow, Eye, Liver, Uncharacterized Tissue tissues are correlated with this protein. Apo also interacts with the following gene(s): ABCA1, APOA1, APOA2, APOB, APOC3, APOE, ITGAM, LCAT. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
