The APOA4 apoa4 (Catalog #MBS630078) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The APOA4, NT (Apolipoprotein A-IV, Apo-AIV, ApoA-IV, Apolipoprotein A4) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s APOA4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:50-1:100
Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the APOA4 apoa4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The APOA4 apoa4 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #71773110) (NCBI Accession #NP_000473.2) (Uniprot Accession #P06727). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the APOA4, NT (Apolipoprotein A-IV, Apo-AIV, ApoA-IV, Apolipoprotein A4) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of APOA4 Antibody (N-term) in Jurkat, K562, NCI-H460 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). APOA4 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with APOA4 antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
The primary translation product of the APOA4 gene is a 396-residue preprotein which after proteolytic processing is secreted into its primary site of synthesis, the intestine, in association with chylomicron particles. Although its precise function is not known, apo A-IV is a potent activator of lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase in vitro.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide selected from the C-terminal region of human APOA4 (KLH). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing APOA4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as APOA4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Intestine, Liver, Stomach tissues are correlated with this protein.
