The ARTN artn (Catalog #MBS536276) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Artemin antibody reacts with To be determined by end-user and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Artemin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).WB: 1:500-1:1,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARTN artn for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ARTN artn product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4235100) (NCBI Accession #AAD13110.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q5T4W7). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Affinity purified Rabbit polyclonal Artemin antibody.
Biological Significance: Artemin is a novel member of the GDNF family and it has been demonstrated that it is the ligand for the former orphan receptor GFRalpha3-RET. Artemin is a survival factor for sensory and sympathetic neurons in culture, and its expression pattern suggests that it also influences these neurons in vivo. Artemin can also activate the GFRalpha1-RET complex and supports the survival of dopaminergic midbrain neurons in culture. Biohazard Information: This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Immunogen: Artemin antibody was raised in rabbit using N terminus of Artemin. as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ARTN are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ARTN may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. ARTN also interacts with the following gene(s): BCL2, GDNF, GFRA1, GFRA3, NCAM1, NRTN, PSPN, TRPA1, TWIST1, VEGFA. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain, Esophagus, Intestine, Kidney, Lung, Pancreas tissues are correlated with this protein. Breast Neoplasms, Death, Depressive Disorder, Hypertrophy, Inflammation, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasm Invasiveness, Nervous System Diseases, Skin Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Artemin antibody.
