The BCL2L11 bcl2l11 (Catalog #MBS625722) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Bim, IN (Bod, Bcl2l11, BCL2-like 11 apoptosis facilitator, Bcl2 interacting mediator of cell death) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Bim, IN can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BCL2L11 bcl2l11 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The BCL2L11 bcl2l11 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #46276880) (NCBI Accession #NP_996885.1) (Uniprot Accession #O43521). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Members in the Bcl-2 family are critical regulators of apoptosis by either inhibiting or promoting cell death. Bcl-2 homology 3 (BH3) domain is a potent death domain. BH3 domain containing pro-apoptotic proteins, including Bad, Bax, Bid, Bik, and Hrk, form a growing subclass of the Bcl-2 family. A novel BH3 domain containing protein was recently identified and designated Bim or BOD in human, mouse and rat (1,2). Bim/BOD interacts with diverse members in the pro-survival Bcl-2 sub-family including Bcl-2, Bcl-XL and Bcl-w. Bim/BOD induces apoptosis. The messenger RNA of Bim is ubiquitously expressed in multiple tissues and cell lines (1,2).
Immunogen: Peptide corresponding to amino acids 22 to 40 of human origin (1). The sequence is identical to that of mouse and differs from that of rat by one amino acid. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing BCL2L11 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as BCL2L11 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Muscle, Skin, Testis, Thymus tissues are correlated with this protein.
