The BCL2L2 bcl2l2 (Catalog #MBS625756) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Bcl-w, BH3 Domain (Bcl2-like Protein 2, BCL2L2, Apoptosis Regulator Bcl-W, BCLW, KIAA0271) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Bcl-w, BH3 Domain can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-1:500
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BCL2L2 bcl2l2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The BCL2L2 bcl2l2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #315360668) (NCBI Accession #NP_001186768.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q92843). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Bcl-w, BH3 Domain (Bcl2-like Protein 2, BCL2L2, Apoptosis Regulator Bcl-W, BCLW, KIAA0271) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of anti-Bcl-w BH3 domain Pab in HL-60 cell lysate. Bcl-w BH3 domain (arrow) was detected using purified Pab. Secondary HRP-anti-rabbit was used for signal visualization with chemiluminescence.)
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of Bcl-w3 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal Bcl-w BH3 Domain Antibody. 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the BCL2L2 gene (Lane 2))
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue reacted with Bcl-w BH3 Domain Antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Western Blot (WB) (BCLW Antibody (BH3) western blot analysis in mouse NIH-3T3 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the BCLW antibody detected the BCLW protein (arrow).)
Bcl-w is a member of the BCL-2 protein family. The proteins of this family form hetero- or homodimers and act as anti- and pro-apoptotic regulators. Expression of this gene in cells has been shown to contribute to reduced cell apoptosis under cytotoxic conditions. Studies of the related gene in mice indicated a role in the survival of NGF- and BDNF-dependent neurons. Mutation and knockout studies of the mouse gene demonstrated an essential role in adult spermatogenesis.
