The BRIP1 brip1 (Catalog #MBS612444) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FANCJ (FANCJ protein, BACH 1, BACH1, BRIP1, BRIP 1, BRAC 1 Associated C Terminal Helicase 1, BRCA 1 Interacting Protein 1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s FANCJ can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP).Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BRIP1 brip1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The BRIP1 brip1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #14042978) (NCBI Accession #NP_114432.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q9BX63). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

BRIP1 (also called BACH1 /FANCJ) is a helicase that interacts with the BRCT domain of BRCA1 and has a role in BRCA1-dependent DNA repair and checkpoint. BRIP1 has recently been found to be defective in Fanconi anemia complementation group J. BRIP1/FANCJ has a function in the Fanconi anemia pathway that is independent of BRCA1 and downstream of FANCD2 activation. (1-4).
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide within the extreme C-terminus of the human FANCJ/BACH1/Brip1 protein sequence. Positive Control: HeLa whole cell extract and Raji, 293, MCF7 and SKOV3 whole cell extracts. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing BRIP1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as BRIP1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Anemia, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Carcinoma, Squamous Cell, Congenital Abnormalities, Fanconi Anemia, Gonadal Disorders, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Prostatic Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to FANCJ (FANCJ protein, BACH 1, BACH1, BRIP1, BRIP 1, BRAC 1 Associated C Terminal Helicase 1, BRCA 1 Interacting Protein 1). Blood, Bone, Bone Marrow, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Intestine, Liver, Muscle, Prostate, Skin tissues are correlated with this protein. BRIP1 also interacts with the following gene(s): BRCA1.
