The Cacna2d2 cacna2d2 (Catalog #MBS6008385) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CACNA2D2, ID (CACNA2D2, KIAA0558, Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-2, Voltage-gated calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-2, Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2-2, Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit delta-2) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CACNA2D2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-500
Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Cacna2d2 cacna2d2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Cacna2d2 cacna2d2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #187957756) (NCBI Accession #AAI58059.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q6PHS9). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CACNA2D2, ID (CACNA2D2, KIAA0558, Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-2, Voltage-gated calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-2, Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2-2, Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit delta-2) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis in mouse kidney tissue lysate (35ug/lane) using MBS6008385.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry staining in formalin-fixed, paraffi-embedded human cerebellum tissue using MBS6008385. Peroxidase-conjugated secondary antibody and DAB staining were used for visualization.)
Testing Data
This gene encodes a member of the alpha-2/delta subunit family, a protein in the voltage-dependent calcium channel complex. Calcium channels mediate the influx of calcium ions into the cell upon membrane polarization and consist of a complex of alpha-1, alpha-2/delta, beta, and gamma subunits in a 1:1:1:1 ratio. Various versions of each of these subunits exist, either expressed from similar genes or the result of alternative splicing. Research on a highly similar protein in rabbit suggests the protein described in this record is cleaved into alpha-2 and delta subunits. Alternate transcriptional splice variants of this gene, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
Immunogen: CACNA2D2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 642-671 amino acids from the Central region of human CACNA2D2. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Cacna2d2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Cacna2d2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
