The CACNB4 n/a (Catalog #MBS6004828) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CACNB4 (Voltage-dependent L-type Calcium Channel Subunit beta-4, CAB4, Calcium Channel Voltage-dependent Subunit beta 4, CACNLB4) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CACNB4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CACNB4 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below:

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CACNB4 (Voltage-dependent L-type Calcium Channel Subunit beta-4, CAB4, Calcium Channel Voltage-dependent Subunit beta 4, CACNLB4) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of CACNB4 expression in transfected 293T cell line by CACNB4 polyclonal antibody. Lane 1: CACNB4 transfected lysate (57.2kD). Lane 2: Non-transfected lysate.)
This gene encodes a member of the beta subunit family, a protein in the voltage-dependent calcium channel complex. Calcium channels mediate the influx of calcium ions into the cell upon membrane polarization and consist of a complex of alpha-1, alpha-2/delta, beta, and gamma subunits in a 1:1:1:1 ratio. Various versions of each of these subunits exist, either expressed from similar genes or the result of alternative splicing. The protein described in this record plays an important role in calcium channel function by modulating G protein inhibition, increasing peak calcium current, controlling the alpha-1 subunit membrane targeting and shifting the voltage dependence of activation and inactivation. Certain mutations in this gene have been associated with idiopathic generalized epilepsy (IGE) and juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME). Alternate transcriptional splice variants of this gene, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
Immunogen: Full length human CACNB4, aa1-520 (NP_000717.2). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CACNB4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CACNB4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
