The CASP14 n/a (Catalog #MBS6010516) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CASP14 (Caspase-14, CASP-14, Caspase 14, MGC119078, MGC119079) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CASP14 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.
Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml
Western Blot: 1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CASP14 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CASP14 (Caspase-14, CASP-14, Caspase 14, MGC119078, MGC119079) with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Human Skin (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded) stained with Caspase-14 antibody at 5ug/ml followed by Goat anti-rabbit IgG, Biotin, alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.)
Caspase-14 is a non-apoptotic caspase which is involved in epidermal differentiation. This caspase has been shown to be processed and activated by caspase 8 and caspase 10 in vitro, and by anti-Fas agonist antibody or TNF-related apoptosis inducing ligand in vivo. The expression and processing of this caspase may be involved in keratinocyte terminal differentiation, which is important for the formation of the skin barrier.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to 16aa from near the C-terminus of human caspase-14, conjugated to KLH. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CASP14 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CASP14 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
