The CD286 tlr6 (Catalog #MBS221330) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s CD286 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Frozen, Western Blot (WB).Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 98kDa and 110kDa in human Jurkat cell lysates (predicted Mwt. 91.9kDa). Doublet band may be due to protein modification or the recognition of two different isoforms by the same gene.
Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 0.5; Maximum Dilution: 1.0ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD286 tlr6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CD286 tlr6 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #20143971) (NCBI Accession #NP_006059.2) (Uniprot Accession #Q9Y2C9). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the RABBIT ANTI HUMAN CD286 with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data #1 (Western blot analysis of whole cell lysate from Jurkat human T-cell leukemia cells probed with Rabbit anti CD286 (MBS221330) at 0.5(A), 1(B) and 2(C) ug/ml)
Testing Data #2 (Immunocytochemical staining of Jurkat cells with Rabbit anti Human CD286 (MBS221330) )
Rabbit anti Human CD286 antibody recognizes human CD286, also known as Toll-like receptor 6 (TLR6), a member of the evolutionarily conserved toll-like receptor family (TLRs) and close homologue of CD281 (TLR1), that is expressed by monocytes, CD11c+ immature dendritic cells and endothelial cells of skin microvessels. TLRs play an important role in the recognition of invading microbial pathogens during innate immunity, acting through adaptor molecules such as MyD88 and TRAF6. CD286 acts via a cytokine signaling pathway to induce the activation of NF-kappaB, through the formation of dimers with CD282 (TLR2) which coordinate macrophage activation by Gram-positive bacteria and zymosan. CD286/CD282 dimers are also involved in apoptotic responses through recognition of mycoplasmal lipoproteins. Rabbit anti Human CD286 antibody does not recognize CD281 (TLR1). Rabbit anti Human CD286 antibody has been shown as suitable for use in IHC on Jurkat cell cytospins at 2ug/ml.
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.02% Sodium Azide (NaN3). Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a 13 amino acid sequence located near the centre of human CD286.
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Antiserum Preparation: Antisera to human CD286 were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
Target Species: Human. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD286 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD286 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
