The CD4 cd4 (Catalog #MBS125744) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD4 Rabbit pab Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).Western Blot (WB): 1/500-1000
Immunocytochemistry (ICC): 1/50-100
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS): 1/50-200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD4 cd4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CD4 cd4 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #10835167) (NCBI Accession #NP_000607.1) (Uniprot Accession #P01730). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Rabbit polyclonal to CD4
Cluster of Differentiation 4 (CD4) is a glycoprotein composed of an amino-terminal extracellular domain (four domains: D1-D4 with Ig-like structures), a transmembrane part and a short cytoplasmic tail. CD4 is expressed on the surface of T helper cells, regulatory T cells, monocytes, macrophages and dendritic cells, and plays an important role in the development and activation of T cells. On T cells, CD4 is the co-receptor for the T cell receptor (TCR), and these two distinct structures recognize the Antigen-Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC). Specifically, the D1 domain of CD4 interacts with the beta2-domain of the MHC class II molecule. CD4 ensures specificity of the TCR-antigen interaction, prolongs the contact between the T cell and the antigen presenting cell and recruits the tyrosine kinase Lck, which is essential for T cell activation (1).
Immunogen: A synthetic -peptide of human CD4. Buffer: PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide, 50% Glycerol,. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
