The CDH13 cdh13 (Catalog #MBS221326) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RABBIT ANTI HUMAN CADHERIN 13 reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CADHERIN 13 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB).Western Blot: This item detects a band/s of approximately 78kDa in 3T3 cell lysates.
Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 0.5; Maximum Dilution: 1.0ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDH13 cdh13 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CDH13 cdh13 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #333944018) (NCBI Accession #NP_001207418.1) (Uniprot Accession #P55290). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the RABBIT ANTI HUMAN CADHERIN 13 with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data #1 (Western blot analysis of whole cell lysates from NIH-3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblasts probed with Rabbit anti Human cadherin 13 (MBS221326) at 0.5(A) and 1(B) ug/ml)
Testing Data #2 (Immunofluorescence staining of K562 human erythromyeloblastoid cells with Rabbit anti Human cadherin 13 (MBS221326))
MBS221326 recognises human Cadherin 13, a 78 kDa, calcium-dependent, glycoprotein. While Cadherin 13 is a member of the cadherin family, it lacks their conserved cytoplasmic region, being instead anchored to the plasma membrane via glycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage. It is expressed in the heart and CNS with the exception of the cerebellum and spinal cord. Cadherin 13 is classified as a cell-cell adhesion molecule, although it is likely that it\'s role is in signalling and not physical adhesion. It is involved in regulating low-density lipoprotein-initiated cell proliferation, keratinocyte proliferation, neural cell growth and may play a role in metabolic regulation. Cadherin 13 protects endothelial cells from oxidative stress-induced apoptosis and may contribute to progression of vascular disorders such as atherosclerosis, restenosis and tumour angiogenesis.
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.02% Sodium Azide (NaN3). Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to N-terminus of human Cadherin 13.
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Antiserum Preparation: Antisera to Cadherin 13 were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
Target Species: Human. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CDH13 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CDH13 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
