The Cdk6 cdk6 (Catalog #MBS416989) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Cdk6 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Cdk6 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC).IHC: 1:50~1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Cdk6 cdk6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Cdk6 cdk6 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #223718134) (NCBI Accession #NP_001138778.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

This gene is a member of the cyclin-dependent protein kinase (CDK) family. CDK family members are highly similar to the gene products of Saccharomyces cerevisiae cdc28, and Schizosaccharomyces pombe cdc2, and are known to be important regulators of cell cycle progression. This kinase is a catalytic subunit of the protein kinase complex that is important for cell cycle G1 phase progression and G1/S transition. The activity of this kinase first appears in mid-G1 phase, which is controlled by the regulatory subunits including D-type cyclins and members of INK4 family of CDK inhibitors. This kinase, as well as CDK4, has been shown to phosphorylate, and thus regulate the activity of, tumor suppressor protein Rb. Expression of this gene is up-regulated in some types of cancer. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009].
Storage Buffer: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg< sup>2< /sup>+ and Ca< sup>2< /sup>+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. Immunogen: The antibody was produced against synthesized non-phosphopeptide derived from human CDK6 around the phosphorylation site of tyrosine 24 (G-A-YP-G-K). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Cdk6 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Cdk6 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Cdk6 also interacts with the following gene(s): CCNA2, CCND1, CCND2, CCND3, CCNE1, CDKN1A, CDKN1B, CDKN2A, CDKN2C, CDKN2D.
