The CFHR5 cfhr5 (Catalog #MBS6006660) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CFHR5, ID (CFHR5, CFHL5, FHR5, Complement factor H-related protein 5) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CFHR5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, ELISA
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-500
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100
Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CFHR5 cfhr5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CFHR5 cfhr5 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #13540563) (NCBI Accession #NP_110414.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q9BXR6). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CFHR5, ID (CFHR5, CFHL5, FHR5, Complement factor H-related protein 5) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (CFHR5 Antibody (Center) western blot analysis in CEM(lane 1),K562(lane 2) cell line lysates (15ug/lane).This demonstrates the CFHR5 antibody detected the CFHR5 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (CFHR5 Antibody (Center) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human hepatocarcinoma followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the CFHR5 Antibody (Center) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (CFHR5 Antibody (Center) flow cytometric analysis of CEM cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
CFHR5 is a member of a small complement factor H (CFH) gene cluster on chromosome 1. Each member of this gene family contains multiple short consensus repeats (SCRs) typical of regulators of complement activation. The protein encoded by this gene has nine SCRs with the first two repeats having heparin binding properties, a region within repeats 5-7 having heparin binding and C reactive protein binding properties, and the C-terminal repeats being similar to a complement component 3 b (C3b) binding domain. This protein co-localizes with C3, binds C3b in a dose-dependent manner, and is recruited to tissues damaged by C-reactive protein. Allelic variations in this gene have been associated, but not causally linked, with two different forms of kidney disease: membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis type II (MPGNII) and hemolytic uraemic syndrome (HUS). Immunogen: CFHR5 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 210-239 amino acids from the Central region of human CFHR5.
