The CHRNA7 chrna7 (Catalog #MBS623518) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Nicotinic Receptor, alpha 7, CT, aa493-502 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Nicotinic Receptor, alpha 7, aa493-502 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC).Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, ABC techniques and Western Blot.
Dilution: ABC Techniques: 1:400; Stains PLP-fixed cells known to express Nicotinic alpha 7 Receptor.
Western Blot: 1:800. Band at ~63kD. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CHRNA7 chrna7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CHRNA7 chrna7 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #299116991) (NCBI Accession #NP_001177384.1) (Uniprot Accession #P36544). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Acetylcholine receptors (AChRs) mediate synaptic transmission at the neuromuscular junction. The channel-linked AChR that mediates rapid, excitatory actions of acetylcholine is called nicotinic AChR (nAChR) because it can be activated by nicotine. The non-channel linked AChR that medicates the slow actions of acetylcholine, which can be either inhibitory or excitatory, is called muscarinic AChR (mAChR) because it can be activated by muscarine. The nAChRs fall into two subclasses, the muscle-type and the neuronal-type. The muscle-type receptor is a pentameric glycoprotein of five membrane spanning subunits, (2 alpha 1\'s, beta 1, gamma or epsilon and delta) which form a ligand gated ion channel. The neuronal nAChR is also a pentamer, but unlike the muscle-type, is made up of only two general types of subunits, alpha and beta of which multiple subtypes have been described (alpha 2 to alpha 8 and beta 2 to beta 4).
Immunogen: Peptide analog of the carboxyl terminal of the nicotinic alpha 7 receptor attached to a carrier protein. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CHRNA7 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CHRNA7 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Alzheimer Disease, Autistic Disorder, Cognition Disorders, Epilepsy, Generalized, Learning Disorders, Memory Disorders, Necrosis, Neurobehavioral Manifestations, Prenatal Exposure Delayed Effects, Seizures are some of the diseases may be linked to Nicotinic Receptor, alpha 7, CT, aa493-502.
