The CLDN11 cldn11 (Catalog #MBS127660) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CLDN11 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CLDN11 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF).WB: 1:500 - 1:2000
IHC: 1:50 - 1:200
IF: 1:50 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CLDN11 cldn11 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CLDN11 cldn11 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #6685300) (NCBI Accession #O75508.2) (Uniprot Accession #O75508). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of extracts of PC-3 cells, using CLDN11 antibody at 1:1000 dilution.
Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) (MBS128200) at 1:10000 dilution.
Lysates/proteins: 25ug per lane.
Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence analysis of U2OS cells using CLDN11 antibody. Blue: DAPI for nuclear staining.)
This gene encodes a member of the claudin family. Claudins are integral membrane proteins and components of tight junction strands. Tight junction strands serve as a physical barrier to prevent solutes and water from passing freely through the paracellular space between epithelial or endothelial cell sheets, and also play critical roles in maintaining cell polarity and signal transductions. The protein encoded by this gene is a major component of central nervous system (CNS) myelin and plays an important role in regulating proliferation and migration of oligodendrocytes. Mouse studies showed that the gene deficiency results in deafness and loss of the Sertoli cell epithelial phenotype in the testis. This protein is a tight junction protein at the human blood-testis barrier (BTB), and the BTB disruption is related to a dysfunction of this gene. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.

Calculated Molecular Weight: 22kDa. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CLDN11 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CLDN11 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
