The CNN1 cnn1 (Catalog #MBS9207960) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Calponin-1 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Reacts with: HumanPredicted Reactivity: Mouse, Rat, Bovine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Calponin-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).
WB: 1:1000
IHC-P: 1:10-50
FC: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CNN1 cnn1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CNN1 cnn1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #21361120) (NCBI Accession #NP_001290.2) (Uniprot Accession #P51911). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Calponin-1 Antibody (N-term) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of lysates from Hela, MDA-MB-453 cell line (from left to right), using Calponin-1 Antibody (N-term). MBS9207960 was diluted at 1:1000 at each lane. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L(HRP) at 1:10000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Lysates at 20ug per lane.)
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of Calponin-1 Antibody (N-term) in NCI-H460 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). CNN1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma with Calponin-1 Antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Flow cytometric analysis of NCI-H292 cells using Calponin-1 Antibody (N-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
Thin filament-associated protein that is implicated in the regulation and modulation of smooth muscle contraction. It is capable of binding to actin, calmodulin, troponin C and tropomyosin. The interaction of calponin with actin inhibits the actomyosin Mg-ATPase activity (By similarity).
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide. Antigen Source: Human
Tissue Location: Smooth muscle, and tissues containing significant amounts of smooth muscle. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CNN1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CNN1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
