The CNR1 cnr1 (Catalog #MBS127520) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CNR1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CNR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).WB: 1:500 - 1:2000
IHC: 1:50 - 1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CNR1 cnr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CNR1 cnr1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #115562) (NCBI Accession #P21554.1) (Uniprot Accession #P21554). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

This gene encodes one of two cannabinoid receptors. The cannabinoids, principallydelta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and synthetic analogs, are psychoactive ingredients of marijuana. The cannabinoid receptors are members of the guanine-nucleotide-binding protein (G-protein) coupled receptor family, which inhibit adenylate cyclase activity in adose-dependent, stereo selective and pertussis toxin-sensitive manner. The two receptors have been found to be involved in the cannabinoid-induced CNS effects(including alterations in mood and cognition) experienced by users of marijuana. Multiple transcript variants encoding two different protein isoforms have been described for this gene.
Immunogen: Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-120of human CNR1 (NP_001153731.1). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CNR1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CNR1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
