Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Collagen III alpha1 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence analysis of methanol-fixed HeLa, using COL3A1 antibody at 1:50 dilution.)
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of 30 ug of whole cell lysate (A: Hela) using a 5 % SDS PAGE gel and Collagen III alpha1 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded NCIN87 xenograft using Collagen III alpha1 antibody at a dilution of 1:500)
Affinity purified Rabbit polyclonal Collagen III alpha1 antibody.
Immunogen: Recombinant protein encompassing a proprietary sequence within the C-terminus region of human Callagen III alpha 1.
Biological Significance: This gene encodes the pro-alpha1 chains of type III collagen, a fibrillar collagen that is found in extensible connective tissues such as skin, lung, uterus, intestine and the vascular system, frequently in association with type I collagen. Mutations in this gene are associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome types IV, and with aortic and arterial aneurysms. Two transcripts, resulting from the use of alternate polyadenylation signals, have been identified for this gene. Cross-Reactivity: Human. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Collagen III alpha1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Collagen III alpha1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
