The CREB1 n/a (Catalog #MBS625521) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CREB, phosphorylated (Ser133) (cAMP Response Element-binding Protein, CREB1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CREB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-1:500
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CREB1 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CREB1 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #33694240) (Uniprot Accession #Q6V963). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CREB, phosphorylated (Ser133) (cAMP Response Element-binding Protein, CREB1) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of anti-Phospho-CREB-pS133 Pab in CEM cell line tissue lysate (35ug/lane).Phospho-CREB-pS133(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
CREB is a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element, (CRE), a sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters. The protein is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway.
Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding Ser133 of human CREB (KLH). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CREB1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CREB1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
