The CREB1 n/a (Catalog #MBS631087) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CREB, phosphorylated (Ser121) (CBP, CREBBP, CREB binding protein, cAMP Response Element Binding Protein, RTS, RSTS, Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CREB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP).Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CREB1 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CREB1 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #33694240) (Uniprot Accession #Q6V963). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CREB, phosphorylated (Ser121) (CBP, CREBBP, CREB binding protein, cAMP Response Element Binding Protein, RTS, RSTS, Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome) with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (Detection of phospho-CREB in HEK 293T cells using MBS631087 (top panel). Bottom panel: HEK 293T cells probled with CREB antibody. Lanes 2 and 4 (top and bottom): Samples treated with lambda-Phosphatase. Lanes 3 and 4 (top and bottom): Samples treated with 0.2mM H2O2.)
Cyclic AMP Response Element Binding protein (CREB) is a basic / leucine zipper transcription factor that binds the cyclic AMP response element (CRE) and activates transcription in response to a variety of extracellular signals including neurotransmitters, hormones, membrane depolarization, and growth and neurotrophic factors. CREB is also regulated by DNA-damaging stimuli and is directly phosphorylated on Ser-121 by the ataxia-telangiectasia-mutated protein kinase, ATM in response to ionizing radiation.
Immunogen: A phospho-peptide spanning the Ser-121 phosphorylation site of human CREB. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CREB1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CREB1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. CREB1 also interacts with the following gene(s): AKT1, ATF1, CCND1, CREBBP, CREM, CYP19A1, NR4A2, RPS6KA1, SOX9, SRF.
