The CRYAB cryab (Catalog #MBS6000709) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CRYAB, CT (Alpha-crystallin B Chain, Alpha(B)-crystallin, Heat Shock Protein beta-5, HspB5, Renal Carcinoma Antigen NY-REN-27, Rosenthal Fiber Component, CRYA2) reacts with Bovine, Human, Mouse, Porcine, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CRYAB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000
Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 10ug/ml. Validated for use on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with C7944-60E, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CRYAB cryab for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CRYAB cryab product has the following accession number(s) (GI #169882027) (NCBI Accession #ACA97071.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q7M2W6). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot Analysis of SPA-223: Lane 1: MWM, Lane 2: SPP-225 Lane3: SPP-226, Lane4: SPP-227, Lane 5: SPP-235)
Crystallin AB (CryAB) is a developmentally regulated small heat shock protein known to protect cells from stress damage. It may also play an important role in the Golgi reorganization during cell division. CryAB is known to be associated with a number of neurodegenerative pathologies such as Alzheimer disease amd multiple sclerosis. As well, it has been found to be expressed in breast tumors of patients with shorter survival, suggesting that it may be an useful marker in identifying aggressive breast cancer.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-terminus of human alphaB-Crystallin conjugated to KLH. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CRYAB are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CRYAB may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
