The CTNNB1 ctnnb1 (Catalog #MBS9404540) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The beta-catenin (phospho-Tyr333) Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s beta-catenin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Western blotting: 1:500~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CTNNB1 ctnnb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CTNNB1 ctnnb1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #148233338) (NCBI Accession #NP_001091679.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the beta-catenin (phospho-Tyr333) Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of extracts from 293 cells untreated or treated with FSK using b-catenin(phospho-Tyr333) Antibody.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma tissue, using beta-catenin (phospho-Tyr333) Antibody.)
Key downstream component of the canonical Wnt signaling pathway. In the absence of Wnt, forms a complex with AXIN1, AXIN2, APC, CSNK1A1 and GSK3B that promotes phosphorylation on N-terminal Ser and Thr residues and ubiquitination of CTNNB1 via BTRC and its subsequent degradation by the proteasome. In the presence of Wnt ligand, CTNNB1 is not ubiquitinated and accumulates in the nucleus, where it acts as a coactivator for transcription factors of the TCF/LEF family, leading to activate Wnt responsive genes. Involved in the regulation of cell adhesion. Acts as a negative regulator of centrosome cohesion. Involved in the CDK2/PTPN6/CTNNB1/CEACAM1 pathway of insulin internalization. Blocks anoikis of malignant kidney and intestinal epithelial cells and promotes their anchorage-independent growth by down-regulating DAPK2. Disrupts PML function and PML-NB formation by inhibiting RANBP2-mediated sumoylation of PML.
Immunogen Type: Peptide-KLH
Immunogen Description: Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of tyrosine 333 (Y-T-Y(p)-E-K) derived from Human b-catenin. Modification: Phospho-Tyr333
Target Name: beta-catenin. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CTNNB1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CTNNB1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
