|The CYLD cyld (Catalog #MBS623264) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CYLD, Phosphorylated (Ser418) (Cylindromatosis Tumor Suppressor Protein) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CYLD can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).
Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CYLD cyld for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CYLD cyld product has the following accession number(s) (GI #8250236) (Uniprot Accession #Q9NQC7). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

CYLD is a cytoplasmic deubiquitinating enzyme encoded by a tumor suppressor gene altered in individuals diagnosed with cylindromatosis, a genetic condition characterized by benign tumors of skin appendages (1,2). Functional CYLD deubiquitinase regulates inflammation and cell proliferation by down regulating NF-kB signaling through removal of ubiquitin chains from several NF-kB pathway proteins (3,4). CYLD is a negative regulator of proximal events in Wnt/b-catenin signaling and is a critical regulator of natural killer T-cell development (5,6). The transcription factor Snail can inhibit CYLD expression, resulting in melanoma cell proliferation (7).
Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ser418 of human CYLD protein. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CYLD are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CYLD may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. CYLD also interacts with the following gene(s): IKBKG, TRAF2, TRAF6, TRAF7. Blood, Bone, Bone Marrow, Ear, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Lymph, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. Adenocarcinoma, Carcinoma, Cell Transformation, Neoplastic, Familial cylindromatosis, Head and Neck Neoplasms, Inflammation, Multiple Myeloma, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Skin Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to CYLD, Phosphorylated (Ser418) (Cylindromatosis Tumor Suppressor Protein).
