The DNM1L dnm1l (Catalog #MBS613855) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Dynamin-1-like Protein (DNM1L, Dynamin Related Protein 1, DRP1, EC 3.6.5.5, Dynamin-like Protein, Dnm1p/Vps1p-like Protein, DVLP) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Dynamin-1-like Protein can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DNM1L dnm1l for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The DNM1L dnm1l product has the following accession number(s) (GI #171460918) (NCBI Accession #NP_005681.2) (Uniprot Accession #O00429). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

A human dynamin-related protein, DRP1 contributes to mitochondrial division in mammalian cells. It plays this important role in mitochondrial fission at steady state and during apoptosis. DRP1 is required for proper cellular distribution of mitochondria, and in mutant neurons, mitochondria are largely absent from synapses, thus providing a genetic tool to assess the role of mitochondria at synapses.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide made to an N-terminal region within residues 1-100 of the human protein. [Swiss-Prot# O00429]. Homology: 100% Human, Monkey, and Hamster
Cellular Localization: Cytoplasm; cytosol. Intracytoplasmic membrane; peripheral mambrane protein. Mainly cytosolic. Also membrane-associated. Localizes to mitochondia at spots of division events. Associated with peroxisomal membranes, it is recruited in part by PEX11B. May also be associated with endoplasmic reticulum tubules and cytoplasmic vesicles and found to be perinuclear. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing DNM1L are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as DNM1L may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Nerve tissues are correlated with this protein. Adenocarcinoma, Brain Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Congenital Abnormalities, Craniofacial Abnormalities, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Mitochondrial Diseases, Nervous System Malformations, Neurodegenerative Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Dynamin-1-like Protein (DNM1L, Dynamin Related Protein 1, DRP1, EC 3.6.5.5, Dynamin-like Protein, Dnm1p/Vps1p-like Protein, DVLP).
