The DRD2 drd2 (Catalog #MBS2526978) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DRD2 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s DRD2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemsitry (IHC), ELISA.IHC: 1:50-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DRD2 drd2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The DRD2 drd2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #17986270) (NCBI Accession #NM_016574) (Uniprot Accession #P14416). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the DRD2 Polyclonal Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (SH-SY5Y cells were subjected to SDS-PAGE followed by western blot with DRD2 Polyclonal Antibody at dilution of 1:200)
Immunohistochemistry (Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded human brain tissue slide using DRD2 Polyclo Antibody at dilution of 1:200.)
DRD2, also named as D2DR and D2R, belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. It is one of the five types (D1 to D5) of receptors for dopamine. The activity of DRD2 is mediated by G proteins which inhibit adenylyl cyclase. Defects in DRD2 are associated with dystonia type 11 (DYT11). The antibody is specific to DRD2.
Immunogen: Fusion protein of human DRD2. Note: Centrifuge before opening to ensure complete recovery of vial contents. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing DRD2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as DRD2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Eye, Ganglia, Intestine, Lung, Muscle, Nerve, Pancreas, Pituitary Gland tissues are correlated with this protein. Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity, Basal Ganglia Diseases, Bipolar Disorder, Dyskinesias, Mental Disorders, Movement Disorders, Nervous System Diseases, Parkinson Disease, Schizophrenia, Substance-Related Disorders are some of the diseases may be linked to DRD2 Polyclonal Antibody. DRD2 also interacts with the following gene(s): FLNA, GNAI2, PDYN, PENK, POMC, RGS4, SLC6A3, SSTR5. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
