The EPO epo (Catalog #MBS2519543) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The EPO Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s EPO can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).WB: 1:200-1:1000
IHC: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EPO epo for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The EPO epo product has the following accession number(s) (GI #62240997) (NCBI Accession #NP_000790.2). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the EPO Polyclonal Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of A549 cell and Mouse liver tissue using EPO Polyclonal Antibody at dilution of 1:150)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human liver cancer using EPO Polyclonal Antibody at dilution of 1:15)
This gene is a member of the EPO/TPO family and encodes a secreted, glycosylated cytokine composed of four alpha helical bundles. The protein is found in the plasma and regulates red cell production by promoting erythroid differentiation and initiating hemoglobin synthesis. This protein also has neuroprotective activity against a variety of potential brain injuries and antiapoptotic functions in several tissue types.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide of human EPO
Calculated Molecular Weight: 21kDa. Buffer: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing EPO are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as EPO may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Anemia, Central Nervous System Diseases, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Kidney Failure, Chronic, Necrosis, Nervous System Diseases, Renal Insufficiency, Vascular Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to EPO Polyclonal Antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. EPO also interacts with the following gene(s): EPOR, GATA2, HIF1A, JAK2, STAT3, TFRC, TNF, VEGFA. Brain, Eye, Prostate, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein.
