The Erbb2 erbb2 (Catalog #MBS9205637) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospho-mouse ERBB2 (Y1223) Antibody reacts with Mouse (Predicted Reactivity: Rat) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Phospho-mouse ERBB2 (Y1223) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Dot Blot (DB), ELISA (EIA).DB~~1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Erbb2 erbb2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Erbb2 erbb2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #54873610) (NCBI Accession #NP_001003817.1) (Uniprot Accession #P70424). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Phospho-mouse ERBB2 (Y1223) Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Dot Blot (DB) (Dot blot analysis of Phospho-mouse ERBB2-Y1223 Antibody Phospho-specific Pab on nitrocellulose membrane. 50ng of Phospho-peptide or Non Phospho-peptide per dot were adsorbed. Antibody working concentrations are 0.6ug per ml.)
This gene encodes a member of the epidermal growth factor
(EGF) receptor family of receptor tyrosine kinases. This protein
has no ligand binding domain of its own and therefore cannot bind
growth factors. However, it does bind tightly to other ligand-bound
EGF receptor family members to form a heterodimer, stabilizing
ligand binding and enhancing kinase-mediated activation of
downstream signalling pathways, such as those involving
mitogen-activated protein kinase and phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase.
Allelic variations at amino acid positions 654 and 655 of isoform a
(positions 624 and 625 of isoform b) have been reported, with the
most common allele, Ile654/Ile655, shown here. Amplification and/or
overexpression of this gene has been reported in numerous cancers,
including breast and ovarian tumors. Alternative splicing results
in several additional transcript variants, some encoding different
isoforms and others that have not been fully characterized.
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide. Antigen Source: MOUSE. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Erbb2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Erbb2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Bone, Brain, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Mammary Gland, Ovary, Skin, Stomach tissues are correlated with this protein. Adenocarcinoma, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinogenesis, Carcinoma, Disease Progression, Gastrointestinal Neoplasms, Lung Neoplasms, Lymphatic Metastasis, Neoplasm Metastasis, Neoplasms, Experimental are some of the diseases may be linked to Phospho-mouse ERBB2 (Y1223) Antibody.
