The FABP3 fabp3 (Catalog #MBS629066) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FABP3, NT (Fatty Acid-binding Protein, Heart, Heart-type Fatty Acid-binding Protein, H-FABP, Fatty Acid-binding Protein 3, Muscle Fatty Acid-binding Protein, M-FABP, Mammary-derived Growth Inhibitor, MDGI, FABP11) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s FABP3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FABP3 fabp3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The FABP3 fabp3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4758328) (NCBI Accession #NP_004093.1) (Uniprot Accession #P05413). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the FABP3, NT (Fatty Acid-binding Protein, Heart, Heart-type Fatty Acid-binding Protein, H-FABP, Fatty Acid-binding Protein 3, Muscle Fatty Acid-binding Protein, M-FABP, Mammary-derived Growth Inhibitor, MDGI, FABP11) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of FABP3 antibody (N-term) in mouse heart tissue lysates (35ug/lane). FABP3 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma with FABP3 Antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Flow cytometric analysis of MDA-231 cells using FABP3 Antibody (N-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of FABP3 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal FABP3 Antibody (N-term). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the FABP3 gene.)
The intracellular fatty acid-binding proteins (FABPs) belongs to a multigene family. FABPs are divided into at least three distinct types, namely the hepatic-, intestinal- and cardiac-type. They form 14-15kD proteins and are thought to participate in the uptake, intracellular metabolism and/or transport of long-chain fatty acids. They may also be responsible in the modulation of cell growth and proliferation. Fatty acid-binding protein 3 gene contains four exons and its function is to arrest growth of mammary epithelial cells.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide selected from the C-terminal region of human FABP3 (KLH).
