The FBXL20 fbxl20 (Catalog #MBS150738) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SCRAPPER Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s SCRAPPER can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).SCRAPPER antibody can be used for detection of SCRAPPER by Western blot at 0.5 - 1 mug/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 2.5 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FBXL20 fbxl20 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The FBXL20 fbxl20 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #27734755) (NCBI Accession #NP_116264) (Uniprot Accession #Q96IG2). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the SCRAPPER Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of SCRAPPER in A20 cell lysate with SCRAPPER antibody at (A) 0.5 and (B) 1 μg/mL.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical staining of human brain tissue using Scrapper antibody at 2.5 μg/mL.)
SCRAPPER Antibody: Members of the F-box protein family, such as Scrapper, are characterized by an approximately 40-amino acid F-box motif. SCF complexes, formed by SKP1, cullin, and F-box proteins, act as protein-ubiquitin ligases. Scrapper is selectively expressed in the brain, broadly expressed within the mouse CNS and is abundant at presynaptic membrane. Scrapper has orthologs in C. elegans, D. melanogaster, and mammals which suggests that it might function as an important membrane-localized E3 ligase in various species. Scrapper is a major presynaptic E3 ubiquitin ligase that acts through RIM1a via degradation and the ubiquitin-proteasome-system (UPS) pathway to critically regulate synaptic transmission. This identifies protein degradation as a mechanism for holding synaptic communication in check.
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Immunogen: SCRAPPER antibody was raised against a 18 amino acid synthetic peptide near the carboxy terminus of the human SCRAPPER.
Buffer: SCRAPPER Antibody is supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing FBXL20 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as FBXL20 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
