The FGF22 fgf22 (Catalog #MBS175654) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-FGF22 antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s FGF22 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FGF22 fgf22 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The FGF22 fgf22 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #13626689) (NCBI Accession #Q9HCT0.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q9HCT0). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Fibroblast growth factor 22(FGF22) detection. Tested with WB in Human, Mouse, Rat.
Background: FGF22, Fibroblast growth factor 22, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the FGF22 gene. The FGF22 sequence in a genomic clone is assigned to 19p13.3. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor(FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. In situ hybridization demonstrated expression in the inner root sheath of the hair follicle. FGF22 is involved in hair development.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence in the middle region of human FGF22 (93-109aa FYVAMNRRGRLYGSRLY), different from the related mouse and rat sequences by one amino acid. Contents: Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.
Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing FGF22 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as FGF22 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
