The FGG fgg (Catalog #MBS9125101) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FGG Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s FGG can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).WB: 1:500 - 1:2000
IHC: 1:50 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FGG fgg for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The FGG fgg product has the following accession number(s) (GI #20178280) (NCBI Accession #P02679.3) (Uniprot Accession #P02679). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

The protein encoded by this gene is the gamma component of fibrinogen, a blood-borne glycoprotein comprised of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains. Following vascular injury, fibrinogen is cleaved by thrombin to form fibrin which is the most abundant component of blood clots. In addition, various cleavage products of fibrinogen and fibrin regulate cell adhesion and spreading, display vasoconstrictor and chemotactic activities, and are mitogens for several cell types. Mutations in this gene lead to several disorders, including dysfibrinogenemia, hypofibrinogenemia and thrombophilia. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Calculated Molecular Weight: 51kDa. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing FGG are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as FGG may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Death, Disease Models, Animal, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Myocardial Infarction, Thrombosis are some of the diseases may be linked to FGG Polyclonal Antibody. Blood, Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Spleen tissues are correlated with this protein.
