The FUT8 fut8 (Catalog #MBS9402217) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FUT8 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s FUT8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Western blotting: 1:500-1:2000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FUT8 fut8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The FUT8 fut8 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #332078497) (NCBI Accession #NP_004471.4) (Uniprot Accession #Q9BYC5). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the FUT8 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (Gel: 6%SDS-PAGE Lysates (from left to right): LoVo and PC3 cell Amount of lysate: 40ug per lane Primary antibody: 1/200 dilution Secondary antibody dilution: 1/8000 Exposure time: 1 minute)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Human brain tissue using at dilution 1/20.)
This gene encodes an enzyme belonging to the family of fucosyltransferases. The product of this gene catalyzes the transfer of fucose from GDP-fucose to N-linked type complex glycopeptides. This enzyme is distinct from other fucosyltransferases which catalyze alpha1-2, alpha1-3, and alpha1-4 fucose addition. The expression of this gene may contribute to the malignancy of cancer cells and to their invasive and metastatic capabilities. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Immunogen Type: Peptide
Immunogen Description: Synthetic peptide corresponding to a region derived from internal residues of human fucosyltransferase 8 (alpha (1,6) fucosyltransferase). Target Name: FUT8. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing FUT8 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as FUT8 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. FUT8 also interacts with the following gene(s): B4GALT1, MGAT3, MGAT4A, MGAT4B, MYC. Blood, Bone, Embryonic Tissue, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Ovary, Pancreas, Thyroid, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Disease Models, Animal, Immune System Diseases, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Liver Neoplasms, Experimental, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to FUT8 Antibody.
