The Gab2 gab2 (Catalog #MBS9402009) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Gab2 (Phospho-Ser623) Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Gab2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Western blotting: 1:500~1:1000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50~1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Gab2 gab2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Gab2 gab2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #6912460) (NCBI Accession #NP_036428.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q9UQC2). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Gab2 (Phospho-Ser623) Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of extracts from 293 cells (Lane 2), HeLa cells (Lane 3) and HepG2 cells (Lane 4), using Gab2 (Phospho-Ser623) Antibody. The lane on the left is treated with antigen-specific peptide.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue using Gab2 (Phospho-Ser623) antibody (left)or the same antibody preincubated with blocking peptide (right).)
This gene is a member of the GRB2-associated binding protein (GAB) gene family and is similar to the GAB1 gene. These proteins contain pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, and bind SHP2 tyrosine phosphatase and GRB2 adapter protein. They act as adapters for transmitting various signals in response to stimuli through cytokine and growth factor receptors, and T- and B-cell antigen receptors. The protein encoded by this gene is the principal activator of phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase in response to activation of the high affinity IgE receptor. Two alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.Nishida K., Blood 93:1809-1816(1999).Nagase T., DNA Res. 5:31-39(1998).Taylor T.D., Nature 440:497-500(2006).
Immunogen Type: Peptide-KLH
Immunogen Description: Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of Serine 623(P-S-S(p)-P-S) derived from Human Gab2. Modification: Phospho-Ser623
Target Name: Gab2. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Gab2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Gab2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
