|The GALK1 galk1 (Catalog #MBS821065) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Galactose Kinase Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Galactose Kinase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemsitry (ICC).
WB (1/500 - 1/1000), IF/ICC (1/100 - 1/500). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GALK1 galk1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The GALK1 galk1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4503895) (NCBI Accession #NP_000145.1) (Uniprot Accession #P51570). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-Galactose Kinase Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB)
Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry (IF/ICC) (Immunofluorescent analysis of Galactose Kinase staining in HepG2 cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 degree C in a humidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a DyLight 594-conjugated secondary antibody (red) in PBS at room temperature in the dark. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue).)
Rabbit polyclonal antibody to Galactose Kinase.
Immunogen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human Galactose Kinase. The exact sequence is proprietary. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GALK1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GALK1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Liver tissues are correlated with this protein. Atrophy, Brain Diseases, Cataract, Galactosemias are some of the diseases may be linked to Anti-Galactose Kinase Antibody. GALK1 also interacts with the following gene(s): GALE, GALK2, GALT, TK1.
