The GAS1 gas1 (Catalog #MBS644674) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GAS1, NT (GAS1, Growth arrest-specific protein 1) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s GAS1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF).Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:50-100
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100
Immunofluorescence: 1:10-50
Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GAS1 gas1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The GAS1 gas1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #167466169) (NCBI Accession #NP_002039.2) (Uniprot Accession #P54826). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the GAS1, NT (GAS1, Growth arrest-specific protein 1) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (GAS1 Antibody (N-term) western blot analysis in NCI-H460 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the GAS1 antibody detected the GAS1 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (GAS1 Antibody (N-term) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded mouse heart tissue tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of GAS1 Antibody (N-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of GAS1 Antibody (N-term) with NCI-H460 cell followed by Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (GAS1 Antibody (N-term) flow cytometric analysis of NCI-H460 cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
Growth arrest-specific 1 plays a role in growth suppression. GAS1 blocks entry to S phase and prevents cycling of normal and transformed cells. Gas1 is a putative tumor suppressor gene.
Immunogen: GAS1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 102-136 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human GAS1. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GAS1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GAS1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
