The GDF11 gdf11 (Catalog #MBS9402308) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GDF11 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s GDF11 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GDF11 gdf11 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The GDF11 gdf11 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #5031613) (NCBI Accession #NP_005802.1) (Uniprot Accession #O95390). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the GDF11 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Human colon cancer tissue using at dilution 1/30.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Human lymphoma tissue using at dilution 1/30.)
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family and the TGF-beta superfamily. This group of proteins is characterized by a polybasic proteolytic processing site which is cleaved to produce a mature protein containing seven conserved cysteine residues. The members of this family are regulators of cell growth and differentiation in both embryonic and adult tissues. Studies in mice and Xenopus suggest that this protein is involved in mesodermal formation and neurogenesis during embryonic development.
Immunogen Type: Peptide
Immunogen Description: Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the C terminal of human growth differentiation factor 11. Target Name: GDF11. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GDF11 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GDF11 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Bone, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Muscle, Nerve tissues are correlated with this protein. Anemia, Hemolytic, Atrophy, Brain Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Fatty Liver, Hyperplasia, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Pain, Urogenital Abnormalities are some of the diseases may be linked to GDF11 Antibody. GDF11 also interacts with the following gene(s): ACVR1B, ACVR1C, ACVR2B, ATOH7, FOXG1, MAFA, PAX6, WFIKKN2.
