The GFI1B gfi1b (Catalog #MBS2527413) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GFI1B Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s GFI1B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).
WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GFI1B gfi1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The GFI1B gfi1b product has the following accession number(s) (GI #49168576) (NCBI Accession #CAG38783.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q5VTD9). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Essential proto-oncogenic transcriptional regulator necessary for development and differentiation of erythroid and megakaryocytic lineages. Transcriptional repressor or activator depending on both promoter and cell type context; represses promoter activity of SOCS1 and SOCS3 and thus, may regulate cytokine signaling pathways. Cooperates with GATA1 to repress target gene transcription, such as the apoptosis regulator BCL2L1; GFI1B silencing in leukemic cell lines markedly increase apoptosis rate. Inhibits down-regulation of MYC and MYB as well as the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor CDKN1A/P21WAF1 in IL6-treated myelomonocytic cells. Represses expression of GATA3 in T-cell lymphomas and inhibits GATA1-mediated transcription; as GATA1 also mediates erythroid GFI1B transcription, both GATA1 and GFI1B participate in a feedback regulatory pathway controlling the expression of GFI1B gene in erythroid cells. Suppresses GATA1-mediated stimulation of GFI1B promoter through protein interaction. Binds to gamma-satellite DNA and to its own promoter, auto-repressing its own expression. Alters histone methylation by recruiting histone methyltransferase to target genes promoters. Plays a role in heterochromatin formation.

GFI1B gfi1b

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide of human GFI1B
Calculated Molecular Weight: 37kDa. Buffer: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GFI1B are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GFI1B may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain Diseases, Cell Transformation, Neoplastic, Immune System Diseases, Intestinal Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to GFI1B Polyclonal Antibody.
