The GH1 gh1 (Catalog #MBS9128073) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GH1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s GH1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
WB 1:500 - 1:2000
IHC 1:50 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GH1 gh1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The GH1 gh1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #13027812) (NCBI Accession #NP_000506.2) (Uniprot Accession #P01241). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the somatotropin/prolactin family of hormones which play an important role in growth control. The gene, along with four other related genes, is located at the growth hormone locus on chromosome 17 where they are interspersed in the same transcriptional orientation; an arrangement which is thought to have evolved by a series of gene duplications. The five genes share a remarkably high degree of sequence identity. Alternative splicing generates additional isoforms of each of the five growth hormones, leading to further diversity and potential for specialization. This particular family member is expressed in the pituitary but not in placental tissue as is the case for the other four genes in the growth hormone locus. Mutations in or deletions of the gene lead to growth hormone deficiency and short stature.

GH1 gh1

Immunogen: Recombinant Protein. Immunogen: Recombinant protein of human GH1. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GH1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GH1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Breast Neoplasms, Cardiovascular Diseases, Growth Disorders, Insulin Resistance, Isolated Growth Hormone Deficiency, Type II, Liver Diseases, Nervous System Diseases, Obesity, Pituitary Neoplasms, Weight Gain are some of the diseases may be linked to GH1 Polyclonal Antibody. GH1 also interacts with the following gene(s): GHR, IRS1, JAK2, PRLR, SOCS2, STAT5A, STAT5B. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
