The GRB7 grb7 (Catalog #MBS626486) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GRB7, Growth Factor Receptor-Bound Protein 7, N-Terminus reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s GRB7, Growth Factor Receptor-Bound Protein 7, N-Terminus can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:32,000
Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml detects ~60kD band observed in lysates of cell line A431 (calculated MW of 59.7kD according to NP_005301.2). In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing GRB7 a band of approx. 60kD is observed. This band is not observed in the non-transfected HEK293. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GRB7 grb7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The GRB7 grb7 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #334883161) (NCBI Accession #NP_001229372.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q14451). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the GRB7, Growth Factor Receptor-Bound Protein 7, N-Terminus with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (MBS626486 staining (2µg/ml) of A431 lysate (RIPA buffer, 30µg total protein per lane). Primary incubated for 1 hour. Detected by western blot using chemiluminescence.)
Testing Data (HEK293 overexpressing MBS626486 and probed with (mock transfection in first lane), tested by Origene.)
The product of this gene belongs to a small family of adapter proteins that are known to interact with a number of receptor tyrosine kinases and signaling molecules. This gene encodes a growth factor receptor-binding protein that interacts with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and ephrin receptors. The protein plays a role in the integrin signaling pathway and cell migration by binding with focal adhesion kinase (FAK). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms, although the full-length natures of only two of the variants have been determined to date.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to ELDLSPPHLSSSPE-C, from the N Terminus of human GRB1 (NP_005301.2). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GRB7 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GRB7 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
