Rabbit polyclonal Phospho-GSK-3a antibody.
Biological Significance: GSK-3 is a serine/threonine protein kinase that phosphorylates and inactivates glycogen synthase. GSK-3 has been implicated in the regulation of cell fate and in the Wnt signaling pathway. GSK-3 plays an important role in the PI3 kinase and Akt mediated cell survival pathways, and its activity can be inhibited by Akt-mediated phosphorylation at Ser21 of GSK-3alpha and Ser9 of GSK-3beta. Immunogen: Phospho-GSK-3a antibody was raised in Rabbit using synthetic phospho-peptide derived from human GSK-3a as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GSK-3a are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GSK-3a may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
